Cup Disc Brush

The CE Brush Cup Brush is a compact, wide-face disc brush designed for efficient cleaning and surface preparation in tight spaces. The filaments are packed densely around an empty inner diameter, which keeps the brush lightweight while still delivering strong, even contact on the workpiece. This reduces load on your spindle or hand tool and helps the brush run smoother, especially at higher speeds or in continuous-duty production.

Because of its compact size and wide brushing area, the cup brush works well on drills, die grinders, hand tools and small automated stations. It is commonly used for cleaning, light deburring, rust removal, edge finishing and general surface preparation on metal, plastic and coated parts. Wherever a full-size disc brush cannot fit, a cup brush offers a practical, high-performance alternative.

Product Details

Design overview
• Wide, highly dense brushing ring for strong and uniform contact
• Hollow centre to keep weight and rotational inertia low
• Suitable for confined fixtures, jigs and compact machine setups
• Works well as a rotary cup brush for point cleaning, edges and small areas

Size range
We manufacture small to medium diameter Cup Brushes to match hand tools and compact machines:
• Outer Diameter (OD): typically 15 mm to 50 mm
Other sizes can be discussed based on your machine and process requirements.

Brush geometry
To match different ways the brush meets the surface, we offer:
• Straight design – for direct, flat contact on the workpiece
• Slight-angle design – to reach into corners, edges and recessed areas more easily
Mounting / connection options
Cup Brushes can be supplied with different mounting interfaces to fit your existing equipment:
• Circular inner diameter (ID) for press-fit or custom hubs
• Threaded inner diameter for direct mounting to tool arbors or spindles
• Shank type options:
o Threaded shank
o Straight rod shank
o Hex shank for a secure grip in drill chucks or drivers

Filament / material options
Material selection depends on your part, surface and process. Common options include:
• Nylon – general-purpose cleaning and finishing
• PBT – good chemical resistance and stable stiffness
• Silicon carbide-filled filament – more aggressive cutting and abrasive action
• Steel wire – heavy-duty metal cleaning and rust removal
• Brass wire – for softer metals and applications where reduced sparking or marking is preferred
On enquiry, we can further tune filament diameter, trim length, filament density and cup design to match your required finish, machine speed, chemical exposure and operating environment.
